Professional summary
Adam focuses on species interactions, community structure, and the relationship between biodiversity and ecosystem functions and services. In particular, he is interested in understanding how anthropogenic disturbance across spatial scales governs diversity and interactions, above and belowground and at trophic levels directly (herbivores, pollinators) and indirectly (predators, parasites) connected to plants.
He has worked as a science co-ordinator in the UK Insect Pollinator Initiative (IPI) Research Programme, was an invited member of Defra's Pollinator Expert Advisory Group (PEAG), has served as both Director & Trustee of the British Ecological Society (BES) and is an Associate Editor of Agricultural and Forest Entomology, Ecological Entomology.
