Tomas has a First Class degree in Meteorology and Climate Science from the University of Leeds and a PhD from the University of Edinburgh. There he investigated how population mobility affects population exposure to air pollution in the UK and its impact on exposure inequality across population subgroups. In his current role as an Air Pollution Modeller at UKCEH he has been working on increasing the spatial resolution of the EMEP4UK model in the UK using the uEMEP downscaling approach. He has also worked on implementing a thorough QA/QC procedure for all outputs of the air pollution modelling group.
