Professional summary
Cecily Goodwin is a spatial ecologist, focusing on research into land use and sustainable landscapes. Cecily has worked on projects characterising landscapes, quantifying habitat connectivity, implementing land use change scenarios, conceptualling mapping natural capital systems, and evaluating species habitat preferences. She has recently worked on using spatial data to understand and characterise the composition and structure of agricultural landscapes in the UK, contributing to wider research into the quantification and exploration of agricultural ecosystem service provision under environmental change.
Cecily works with a range of research methods including spatial data processing and analysis, conceptual mapping and stakeholder consultation. She has previously worked on research projects on disease ecology, species habitat preference, dietary ecology, population analysis and woodland ecology. Within this work she has employed a variety of techniques from the management and analysis of large citizen science and spatial datasets to stable isotope ecology.
