Dr Cedric Laize is a hydro-ecological modeller who researches complex hydro-ecological associations. His focus is on environmental flows, riverine physical habitats, broad scale climate-hydrology-ecology associations, and spatial analyses.
Cedric is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. Before he came to the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology he was based at British Antarctic Survey in Cambridge, UK. He has previously worked with the Environment Agency, DEFRA, Natural England, the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) and major consultancy firms. He has also worked as a lecturer in Phnom Penh, Cambodia and in Douai, France and is an Honorary Senior Research Fellow in the School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Birmingham.
