Dina obtained a PhD in Statistics from the University of Oslo in 2010. After that, she joined the Centre for Research into Ecological and Environmental Modelling at the University of St Andrews, followed by roles in statistics at the University of Aberdeen and Queen's University Belfast.
Currently, since 2020, Dina has been applying her expertise as a senior statistician at the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology. With over 19 years of experience as a statistician, Dina has been involved in providing statistical expertise to multidisciplinary teams. Her contributions include designing effective surveys and experiments, conducting data analysis, and developing statistical methodologies for the analysis of experimental data. Dina leads the DEFRA-funded Nightwatch statistical survey design projects and she is currently the lead statistician on multiple UKCEH projects (NERC ChemPop project, DEFRA Abundance Indicator technical development, etc.).
