Professional summary
Chris is an aquatic biogeochemist and limnologist. His research largely focuses on landscape-aquatic macronutrient cycling; hydrological fluxes, anthropogenic impacts, water quality, carbon sequestration, and greenhouse gas dynamics. Associated interests include: the structure and function of aquatic communities and their sensitivities to land use change and mitigation measures; trophic studies using natural abundance stable isotopes; and, optical approaches for the characterisation of dissolved organic matter.
He previously worked at the Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute (AFBI) in Belfast, in the Sustainable Agri-Food Sciences Division.
