Chris is an aquatic biogeochemist and limnologist. His research largely focuses on landscape-aquatic macronutrient cycling; hydrological fluxes, anthropogenic impacts, water quality, carbon sequestration, and greenhouse gas dynamics. Associated interests include the structure and function of aquatic communities and their sensitivities to land use change and mitigation measures; trophic studies using natural abundance stable isotopes; and, optical approaches for the characterisation of dissolved organic matter.
