We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded silver accreditation with Investors in People for the second time.
Investors in People is a community interest company whose main purpose is to make work better. They use their “We invest in people” framework to assess how organisations are performing and provide advice and guidance on how to continue to improve the working lives of organisations that take part. Accreditation lasts for three years and is recognised in 66 countries across the globe. We are proud to display our accreditation to the world and our commitment to supporting our people.
We are incredibly pleased with our result, with our overall score higher than before. This reflects the positive work we are doing as an organisation. Some of our key highlights from our results are:
- Our people love working for us because their work is interesting, varied and worthwhile and everyone is approachable, caring and working towards the same goals,
- Our people share our values and strive to work together to deliver excellence with integrity,
- Our people feel encouraged, empowered and trusted to find better ways of doing things and to make decisions,
- Our people have numerous opportunities for developing their knowledge and skills and this is increasing their confidence and ability to produce excellent work.
Gill Turner Lay, Director for People and Operations at UKCEH said: “UKCEH are really proud to have maintained our silver IiP accreditation, with a marked increase in score in the vast majority of areas. We will use the formal IiP feedback report to work in partnership with our union, Prospect and employee forum to continue to enhance the experience and development for all our people as we aim even higher!”
We are looking forward to continuing to work with Investors in People and all of our employees in supporting a positive, supportive and engaged workplace.
