In February 2020 a team from Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, including research leader and co-investigator on the Paraguas project, Dr Mauricio Diazgranados, undertook a new expedition to the Serrania de las Quinchas, Colombia as part of the UK PACT funded project "Promoting forest protection and peace building through community based ecotourism in biodiversity hotspots of Colombia"
