Alice is a field ecologist working in the Catchment to Coast group based at UKCEH Bangor, with a focus on delivering high quality botanical surveys across a wide range of UK habitats for vascular and non-vascular plants. She works primarily on quality assurance for the vegetation recording of long-term national monitoring programmes, including the Welsh Environment and Rural Affairs Monitoring & Modelling Programme (ERAMMP), UK Countryside Survey (CS) and Northern Ireland Countryside Survey (NICS). Using their skills in field survey and project management, Alice coordinates and trains field surveyors to record vegetation communities and structure so that any change is accurately captured for the development of effective sustainable land management policies.
