Simeon Wilton

Simeon's current research investigates the impacts of invasive non-native insect species on wild pollinating insect species in the UK. He focuses on Vespa veluntina — also known as the Asian Hornet — and its potential impact on UK pollinator-plant networks as well as Harmonia axyridis — also known as the Harlequin Ladybird — and its population impacts on UK hoverfly species.

Simeon's modelling approaches incorporate citizen science data to inform on the risk of invasive non-native insect species.
