Professional summary

Alison is the Executive Director of Partnerships & Impact at UKCEH. Before joining UKCEH Alison was Deputy Executive Chair of the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC), part of UK Research and Innovation. Alison works across UKCEH, external partners and funders to ensure our science is accessible, used and makes a tangible difference to people across the UK and internationally.

Alison started out as a lawyer, working in the courts and the voluntary sector before joining the public service in Australia. She moved to Bangladesh in 2013, where she worked with national NGOs contributing to their strategy and advocacy to support programmes promoting disability rights and preventing domestic violence.
